We are often asked about our gear and what lenses are our go-to’s. So we thought we’d share some of them with all of you! :D

Canon 16-35mm II f2.8

A super wide angle lens that is essential for getting as much detail as you can in one shot. It is an ideal lens for capturing an entire venue, or showing off beautiful landscapes. We typically use this lens for the bigger weddings so you can appreciate just how grand the celebration is. This lens can be considered Batman and our glide cam its Robin. The dynamic duo never fails to really wow people, just take a look below.

Canon 70-200mm II f2.8

We have nicknamed this lens the “sniper” because it allows us to get up and personal for those candid and intimate moments without being in anyone’s way. With this telephoto lens our team becomes a hired group of ninja’s, invisible to your guests but capturing all of your special moments. We ideally use this lens for the ceremony as you can imagine, nobody wants to see us while the bride is walking down the aisle, or when the vows are being recited.

Rokinon 85mm f1.4

The Rokinon is the master lens for low light situations. It’s perfect for the bridal prep and receptions which are often in a closed room with little natural light. We especially love it for the bridal prep because it can make skin look “buttery smooth”, and who doesn’t want to hear that about their skin :P Here’s a example of what we mean:

The 85mm is a versatile lens that finds itself between a telephoto and medium length lens and a great piece to have in any videographer’s arsenal.

Canon Macro 100mm II f2.8

The 100mm can be used for a variety of shots but we are keen on using this lens for the pretty details throughout the day. If this lens could talk, it would probably say that “the beauty is in the details”. We often lay out outfits and get shots at a few different angles, making sure to also capture shoes, jewelry and any other accessory that may be part of your outfit. Our signature Ring Shots are taken with this lens during the reception when the bride and groom have some breathing room.
